I´m Hanne, an Arctic artist and biologist based in Northern Norway.

My art is inspired by nature, seasons, and life in the Arctic. I work across different techniques, from detailed drawings and alcohol ink to newer explorations like iris folding.

I’ve always created, but lost track of my art for decades. It found its way back to me during a period of burnout in 2023. What started as a way to slow down and make space to find balance gradually became something more. A way to process, to rebuild, and to reconnect with curiosity.

Curiosity has always been a driving force in both my scientific work and my art, and I´m always drawn to learning something new. Lately, that has led me into exploring how different techniques can meet and evolve together.

Today, my work is about more than the finished pieces. It’s about the process, the small moments, and the feeling something leaves behind.
